Right of Withdrawal and Returns

This page explains how to exercise your 14 day right of withdrawal and our extended 30 day commercial return policy, including eligibility rules, exclusions and refunds.

1. What the right of withdrawal means

If you are a consumer customer (B2C), you may withdraw from the purchase within 14 calendar days from delivery, without giving any reason, as provided by applicable EU regulations.

In addition, Steel Models offers an extended commercial return period up to 30 days from delivery for eligible products, subject to the conditions below.

2. Eligible return items

Returned products must be:

unused and undamaged
not assembled or painted
complete with all parts and accessories
in the original packaging
properly packed for transport

For model kits, opening sealed inner bags may reduce or void the refund if the item is no longer resellable as new.

3. Exclusions

The right of withdrawal does not apply, where legally excluded, to:

custom made or personalized products
special order items on request
opened paints, glues, chemicals and consumables
unsealed audio, video or software products
books, magazines and periodicals
items damaged or altered by the customer

4. How to request a return

Contact customer service with order number and items to return.
Wait for instructions and prepare the parcel securely.
Ship the return within 14 days from your withdrawal notice.
Inspection and refund will follow after goods are received and checked.

Shipping advice For returns above €75, we recommend tracked shipping with proof of delivery.

5. Return shipping costs

Return shipping costs are paid by the customer.

The €1 packing contribution per order is not refundable.

6. Free shipping and returns

If your order qualified for free shipping (orders = €100) and you return all items, Steel Models may deduct the original outbound shipping cost from the refund.

7. Refund timing and method

Refunds are issued within 14 days after the returned goods are received and verified. We may withhold the refund until the items are delivered back to us.

Any loss of value due to handling beyond what is necessary to check the nature and characteristics of the product may be deducted. Refunds are made using the same payment method originally used, unless otherwise agreed.
